Who owns the City?

Workshops, lectures and artist talks in Japan. Since 2005 Katja Stuke and Oliver Sieber have been giving lectures, workshops and artist talks in Japan on several occasion, about their work, their artistic practice or photography. Also the question of artist exchage has been a topic of discussions several times.

Exhibition »From A to B« Museum Morsbroich Leverkusen
In their Walks on Japanese streets, Katja Stuke and Oliver Sieber map the social transformation of neighbourhoods in Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama, among others. In doing so, they gain special perspectives on the construct of the street by exploring it on foot. In conversation with Heide Häusler, curator of the exhibition, they explain their artistic approach to the subject of the street, the political landscape and the ruins of the future.
